Andrea Scholten is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor.  In her practice, Andrea focuses on understanding and educating patients about the root cause of disease addressing all aspects of mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.  Using individualized treatment plans consisting of a range of natural modalities, including diet and nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, herbal medicine and homeopathy, Andrea strives to empower her patients to heal themselves. She holds a particular interest in homeopathy and is presently pursuing a Homeopathic Doctorate degree from the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine. Andrea has studied both locally and abroad with renowned homeopaths including Rajan Sankaran, Divya Chabra, Jeremy Sherr, Louis Klein and Alize Timmerman. In addition, Andrea has also completed advanced courses in Botanical Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Growing up in rural Saskatchewan, Andrea developed a strong connection to nature.  This connection in addition to her passion for science and healing led her to pursue a career in Natural Medicine.  Andrea graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine receiving the Governor General’s award of Excellence.  She also holds an honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Saskatchewan.

Andrea provides service at the Cantadora Naturopathic Healthcare Centre and teaches general sciences at George Brown College.  Andrea enjoys spending time in nature biking, swimming, running and gardening.  Her passion for travel has taken her across the globe and she has lived and worked in The Netherlands, Taiwan and Brazil.  She is fluent in Portuguese and partially fluent in French, Dutch and Spanish.
