Miyako Kurihashi practices classical Osteopathy, which aims to rebalance the whole body.  She is a licensed Osteopathic Manual Practitioner who has graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy-Holistic Health and Science. She has a background in Namikoshi Shiatsu and Usui Reiki. She has been practicing manual therapy for seven years. 

Her aim is to treat the whole person as a dynamic unit of body, mind, and spirit. She treats the cause of the pain or ‘dis-ease’ state not the symptoms, the treatment is very gentle, similar to peeling an onion. She believes that our body will heal and rebalance itself when obstructions to health are removed.

During the session, the assessments and treatments must be done by very sensible hands, with deep knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body. Every individual is very unique and therefore the treatment will vary from person to person depending on what she/he needs. She will be integrating the various techniques, along with the total body adjustment to meet the patients’ needs.
